‘Day at the Lake’ Scheduled for September 16th

[SPRINGFIELD, MO]—empower: abilities, the disability experts for southwest Missouri, has announced that their annual day of accessible outdoor fun, “Day at the Lake”, will take place on September 16, 2023 at Miller Park at Fellows Lake (4216 N Farm Rd 189, Fair Grove, MO 65648) just north of Springfield, Missouri. Activities will begin at 9:00am and conclude at 3:00pm, and will include a variety of free outdoor and water activities for people with all levels of accessibility. Participants can expect accessible pontoon boat rides, adaptive kayaking, sailboat rides, adaptive bike displays, kite flying, birdwatching, corn hole competitions, wheelchair races, adaptive camping displays, music, and more. Event is free to attend, but registration is required. Registration is open until September 8, 2023 and is available through the empower: abilities Facebook event page: tinyurl.com/DATL2023.
